Addora Live began as a burlesque-themed, online community in May 2008. In November, Annemarie with the help of her fiancé Age, opened a boutique shop-front in Adelaide, Australia. The rich, luxurious atmosphere was an instant hit with customers who wanted to look for sensual items in a relaxed and non-confronting environment. Addora Live appealed to those that had never entered an adult store or were too afraid to go back.
Within a few months, calls were coming in from country customers who wanted to come to the boutique, but were unable to travel that far. It became apparent that Addora Live needed to provide the beautiful shopping experience online to country customers and those who were still a little reserved about entering the boutique.
Annemarie Rodda is a young and vibrant individual who saw the need to create a place where women especially, felt comfortable in purchasing products that made them feel empowered in the bedroom whilst exploring love, romance and sexuality. She had visited a number of “typical” adult stores and wanted Addora Live to be the exact opposite. Addora Live would challenge all preconceived notions of the term “Adult Store”.
Having grown up in the country, many friends and relatives thought that this was an unusual path for her to follow. However being the strong-minded, go-getter she was she decided to dedicate herself fully to learning about corsets, lingerie and adult products and always look for the best products to offer.
